When your opponent's Monster attacks this Effect Card in face-down Defence Position, the attacking Monster is equipped with this card (damage calculations are cancelled). Treat this card as an Equip Magic Card. During each of your opponent's Stand-by Phases, increase your Life Points by half of the ATK of the Monster equipped with this card.

Effect Monsters are brought to the field with a Normal Summons or Set, but they contain additional special magical powers that are described on each card. There are a number of different types including Flip, Continuous, Cost, Trigger and Multi trigger. The effect is applied towards the end of the Battle Phase, after Damage has been calculated.
