Planeswalker Decks

Core Set 2020 contains 280 cards (20 basic lands, 112 commons, 80 uncommons, 53 rares, and 15 mythic rares) that appear in booster packs, plus 63 cards available in Core Set 2020 Planeswalker Decks. Core Set 2020 prominently features the fiery Planeswalker Chandra Nalaar—her suite of awesome pyromantic abilities is represented not only by a variety of her spells, but also on three planeswalker cards available in booster packs and a fourth that is included in the Chandra Planeswalker Deck. Deck contains a 60-card preconstructed deck and 1 booster pack.

Core sets are reintroduced with Core 2019. The reintroduction makes it possible to move away from the Two-Block Paradigm, and create room to print three large standalone sets each year. Thus, the codename Salad was transferred from the small set in the proposed Dominaria block, to this core set. Core sets will contain a mix of new and reprinted cards.
